ACCOMODATION

Accomodation is comprised of four converted farm buildings.  The Granary, The Stables and The Dairy are next to each other and each has its own furnished patio within a walled garden.  The Brambles is separate and has an enclosed gravel garden with gates onto a large lawned area which includes the pond.

There is ample parking space. 

The Granary and The Stables are two-bedroomed (one double, one twin) and the Dairy is one bedroomed (double).

Bathrooms also include a shower and in the two bedroomed properties, the double bedrooms have an en suite toilet and hand-basin.

Kitchen areas are fully equipped including:  microwave, cooker, fridge, toaster, kettle, etc.

Sitting areas include a colour television, video/dvd player and CD player.
A utility room is shared between The Granary, The Stables and The Dairy for access which houses a freezer, washing machine, dryer, iron and board.

The Brambles has two bedrooms (one double, one twin) and has separate living room, dining room, kitchen and utility room.  The Brambles includes a washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and dishwasher.

Pets are welcome.

THE SURROUNDING AREA

POLSTEAD is a pretty village with a small shop and a local village pub.  It is within the Dedham Vale conservation area which is also known as Constable Country.

Local villages include the picturesque:  Stoke-by-Nayland, Boxford, Dedham, Lavenham, Long Melford, Kersey and Flatford.

The farm lies between the market towns of Hadleigh (4 miles) and Sudbury (8 miles), and is close to Colchester (10 miles), (Britain’s oldest recorded town), and Ipswich (10 miles).

Norwich takes an hour and a half by car and London is 1 hour by rail from Colchester.

The East Coast is easily reached where you will find the resorts of Aldeburgh and Southwold, and wildlife sanctuaries such as RSPB’s Minsmere. 

The area also offers many family attractions including Colchester Zoo, Sutton Hoo, working farms, riding, swimming, wind surfing, National Trust properties, museums, theatres, river cruises and  excellent golf courses.
